We went to Sunriver (central Oregon...near Bend)for a 6 day family vacation with my side of the family. We did the same thing last year over the 4th of July, and we all decided we'd like to try and do the trip every year. It's so much fun to have everyone get away and just enjoy time together. No work (well, not too much at least), and almost all play. All of the kids had an absolutely amazing time. My 7 year old nephew, Dylan, did not stop from the moment they arrived in Sunriver. Everything from hot lava cave exploring, biking and swimming, to stargazing and magic shows...the older kids were entertained 24/7. Us Thurmond's were a bit more home bound with Finn's nap schedule, but we had a fantastic time none the less. We rented some bikes with a trailer for Finn, and went on a few bike rides. We were also able to go swimming a couple of times, hiking, walking, as well as have my brother-in-law, Mark, take some family photos. Justin and I also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with my sisters, and going golfing as well. And of course, lots and lots of cooking and eating. Sometimes it's nice to get back home and back on track with living a "healthier" lifestyle :) All in all, it was an amazing trip!
