We arrived in Pleasanton about 1 1/2 weeks ago (on 9/9). Finn did pretty good in the car, so I was super happy about that (Justin drove the U-haul separately from us). When we arrived to our new condo, it was a bit unorganized. The condo was not very clean...def. not okay with me! Plus, the movers were extremely late, so Justin had to unload most of the stuff himself (he's such a hard worker). Anyway, after staying in a hotel Thursday night, and getting the condo cleaned, we started to unpack and get settled in last weekend. Things are finally starting to feel like a home!
We definitely feel isolated not knowing anyone in the East Bay, but I think we'll meet people soon enough. I have my first mother's club social tonight, and Justin made friends with one of our neighbors (he's a huge college football fan, so they find it easy to hang out). Next step- finding a church that fits us, and finding day care for Finn for when I start student teaching in January!
Oh yes...the whole reason we moved here... Justin started his job last Monday, and he's really liking it. He's anxious to learn the ropes and really start working, rather than just learning about the company and the job :) His commute to work isn't very long at all (about 15-20 mins), so we have been enjoying some sunshine each day after Justin gets off work :)
Now that we're settled....we're ready for visitors! Miss you all!!!!

Love love that first photo of finn and his cousin. you could fast-forward that scene 15 years from now and it would be the same. except finn would be staring at some hot girl, instead of his mom. ; ) (not that you aren't hot, but you know what i mean).
We miss miss you soooo much, too! i am excited for girls' weekend this coming spring! love you!
